Tralee Food Festival 2025
The Kerry Bar returns May 17/18 – exciting tasting options throughout the festival weekend
This Tralee Food Festival, The Kerry Bar returns. After it’s first appearance in Dublin in January 2026, Kingdom Whiskey Tasting Events Kerry will bring selected whiskey, gin and beer brands to Tralee for you. Sample their amazing craft brews and spirits, explore their stories and find your new favourit. The Kerry Bar will be located at The Square and open on Saturday and Sunday from 12.00pm to 6.00pm.
Along with The Kerry Bar, we will offer three amazing tasting experiences over the festival weekend:

Kerry Rose Selections 2025
Meeting the Kerry Rose entrants at The Heights Hotel Killarney
March 23rd, 2025, The Heights Hotel, Killarney
At the kick-off event for the 2025 Kerry Rose selections, Kingdom Whiskey Tasting Events had the great honour to meet this year’s Kerry Rose entrants at The Heights Hotel in Killarney. After their first meet-up and initial briefing, we treated the group to a Queens of the Kingdom Gin Masterclass. Exploring the different flavour profiles of the local gins turned out good way for the group to start bonding and have some fun at the end of their first day.

The inaugural Kerry Bar was a feature of the Disover Kerry stand at Holiday World Show in Dublin in January 2025. In cooperation between Discover Kerry and the Kerry distilling and brewing scene, Kingdom Whiskey Tasting Events set up the Kerry Bar, serving blind samples to curious visitors of one of the biggest holiday shows in Ireland.

The 4 Christmas Spirits
A Christmas Whiskey Tale at McCaffrey’s Bar
December 15th, 2024 @ 5.30pm at McCaffrey’s Bar, Tralee
While Santa was still making his way to Ireland, we welcomed the 4 Christmas Spirits – A Christmas Whiskey Tale on December 15th to McCaffrey’s Bar. In this fully guided tasting experience, our guests sampled 3 local Kerry whiskeys from Skellig Six18 Distillery, Killarney Distillery and The Liberator Whiskey. At the end of the session, merry folks indulged in our special Xmas Whiskey Cocktail, made with Portmagee Whiskey and Valentia Island Vermouth, to finish a fun evening in the true spirit of the jolly season.
Meals on Wheels Charity Whiskey Tasting 2024
1st Charity Whiskey Tasting in aid of Meals on Wheels Tralee
December 1st, 2024 @ 5.30pm at McCaffrey’s Bar, Tralee
It was a fantastic night in the festive setting of McCaffrey’s Bar Tralee for Kingdom Whiskey Tasting Events Kerry’s first Meals on Wheels Charity Whiskey Tasting, raising funds for their most important work. A total of €600.00 was collected from ticket sales and donations. It will go directly to Paddy Kevane and his team to support their daily deliveries, the Meals on Wheels Café on Upper Rock Street, Tralee, and their upcoming Community Christmas Day Dinner.
For the tasting event, a lovely group gathered and was treated to a complimentary welcome drink by McCaffrey’s Bar and tasty finger food prepared by Meals on Wheels Café. The vibes in the room were already brilliant when the first of five local Kerry whiskeys was poured, all kindly donated by Portmagee Whiskey, Skellig Six18 Distillery, Killarney Brewing & Distilling Co., Wayward Irish Spirits (The Liberator) and Dingle Distillery. The group massively enjoyed the brand stories and the navigation through the different flavour profiles of each spirit and the details about how they were made.
In his opening speech, Paddy Kevane of Meals on Wheels Tralee highlighted how important fundraisers like this have been in providing funds for the operations and revealed future plans for an expansion of the Café and strengthening community work.
Kingdom Whiskey Tasting Events Kerry would like to thank the team at McCaffrey’s Bar for their generosity and help, the Kerry whiskey makers for their donations and all attendees for making the night a big success in aid of Meals on Wheels Tralee.
Gin-Fluence 2024 – Launch Event
Queens of the Kingdom Gin Masterclass at McCaffrey’s Bar
October 6th, 2024 @5.30pm at McCaffrey’s Bar, Tralee
To launch our Queens of the Kingdom Gin Masterclass, we invited a very nice group of lovely people from Tralee and beyond to join us for our first gin tasting event in Kerry. And what can we say? It was a great night at McCaffrey’s Bar and everybody has been massively enjoying themselves. The Queens of the Kingdom Gin Masterclass is now an essential part of our growing range of tasting packages and is available all across the Kingdom of Kerry.

Kerry Whiskey Experience at Baily’s Corner

Gin Reception for the Tralee Food Festival Pre-Opening

Working with the festival organisers and McCaffrey’s Bar, a gin reception has been incorporated into the Tralee Food Festival 2024 pre-opening event for the sponsors. The group was treated to a fine gin & tonic and what would become an amazing festival weekend had just started.

Kerry Whiskey Experience at Baily’s Corner
The Tralee Food Festival 2023 was the time, it all really started for us here at Kingdom Whiskey Tasting Events Kerry. On the Friday night we held our first of many whiskey tasting events in Kerry. Because it became a success, we did a second tasting on the Sunday evening. Which became an even bigger success. Both days, we worked closely with the great guys at Baily’s Corner to treat our guests to the best whiskeys, the Kingdom of Kerry has to offer. This was the birth of the Kerry Whiskey Experience, our signature tasting.
