Tralee Food Festival 2025 – Our tasting events!

Friday to Sunday, May 16th – 18th, 2025

For this year’s Tralee Food Festival, Kingdom Whiskey Tasting Events Kerry will bring something old and something new to the tables. From our signature Kerry Whiskey Experience, established over the past three years, to the first ever ‚Make-your-own-Gin‘ Workshop and our ‚It’s Wine o’clock‚ Wine Tasting, another first for us. These experience will be part of the Craft Drinks Trail, a new addition to the Tralee Food Festival.

Kerry Whiskey Experience

Friday, May 16th, 2025, at 7.30pm at McCaffrey’s Bar

On Friday, we offer our Kerry Whiskey Experience. This will be the 3rd year in a row, we kick off the festival fun with this Signature Tasting Experience at McCaffrey’s Bar. The tasting includes four grand local whiskeys made by the small craft producers of Kerry. While we expertly guide you through the different flavour profiles of each pour, you will learn more about the history of Irish Whiskey, the production processes involved, and listen to the stories of the local brands and the Kerry people behind them. After your experience, you can relax and enjoy a complimentary ‚Chaser‘ pint of regular stout, lager, red ale or cider.

‚Make-your-own-Gin‘ Workshop

Saturday, May 17th, 2025, at 5.00pm at McCaffrey’s Bar

On Saturday, we will run the first (of hopefully many more) Make-your-own-gin workshops! This brand new gin experience gives you insights into the history and production of gin before you sit down and play around with different flavours to create your very own gin. At the end, you can take home a small bottle of gin and many incredible memories! But before you leave, we will treat you to a complimentary G&T to reward you for your hard, creative work. Seats at McCaffrey’s Bar will be extremly limited, so be quick to secure your space to make your own gin!

‚It’s Wine o’clock‘ Wine Tasting

Sunday, May 18th, 2025, at 6.00pm at The Ashe Hotel

The Sunday of this year’s festival will see another new experience taking shape. When the clock strikes ‚Wine o’clock‚ it will be time to meet us at Lotties private bar venue at The Ashe Hotel for an expertly guided wine tasting. Sample three different reds and whites, learn about the different grapes, their flavours and the wine production. To enhance your experience, there will be a culinary 2-course treat from the team of Alfie’s Restaurant at The Ashe Hotel.
